Booth ran in the 2012 election for Kansas House of Representatives District 114. He and Tom Simpson were defeated by Jack Thimesch in the August 7 Republican primary. Carol Moore was unopposed in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
