Robert William "Bob" Goodlatte (b. September 22, 1952) is a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from the state of Virginia. Goodlatte represents Virginia's 6th congressional district and was first elected to the House in 1992.

Biography

After earning his bachelor's from Bates College and his J.D. from Washington and Lee University, Goodlatte became an aide to U.S. Rep. M. Caldwell Butler (Virginia). He also went into private practice as a lawyer.
