Campaign themes

Orwig used the theme "Do Not Vote for Me! Why?" He listed the reasons as:

Reason #1 Do not vote for me if you like the fact that our schools are underfunded. Money is being shifted to large school districts in Madison and Milwaukee.

Reason #2 If you think it's OK that the incumbent wants to reverse legislation that closed loopholes allowing corporations to skip out on paying state taxes.

Reason #3 If you like the incumbents voting record. He consistently voted NO to progress and growth in Wisconsin.

Reason #4 If you like seeing your dollars being turned into record profits to oil companies while other countries are funding alternative energy.

Reason #5 If you think the middle class should shoulder the burden of state taxes while the wealthy get more tax cuts."[2]
