Bob Robbins has been a Republican member of the Pennsylvania State Senate since 1991. Robbins was re-elected in November of 2010 with his term expiring in 2014. Robbins also served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 1983 to 1990.

Robbins graduated from West Point with his Bachelor's Degree in 1966. Robbins is a retired teacher and wrestling coach.
