Bob Stenehjem is a Republican member of the North Dakota Senate, representing District 30. He is also the senate's Senate Majority Leader.


Stenehjem attended Bismarck State College.

Political experience

Stenehjem was the Chairman of the Legislative Council from 2003 to 2006. He then joined the North Dakota State Senate in 1993. He is currently the Majority Leader, representing the 30th district.

Stenehjem and his wife Kathy have four children.

Election history


On November 4, 2008, Stenehjem was re-elected to the 30th District Seat in the North Dakota Senate, besting Chris Ebertz (D). [1] Stenehjem raised $17,350 for his campaign, while Ebertz raised $2,650. [2]
