Bobby Banks was a Republican candidate in the November 8, 2011 special election for the Georgia House of Representatives, District 25. The special election was called to fill the vacancy created when James Mills (R) resigned to accept an appointment to the State Pardons and Paroles board.[1]

On November 8, Banks faced fellow Republicans Emory West Dunahoo, Jr., Dominic Ottaviano, Todd Reed, William Sykes, and Kris Yardley as well as Democrat Paul Godfrey. Since no candidate received a majority of the vote, the top two vote getters--Banks and Dunahoo--proceeded to a runoff election on December 6 where Banks was defeated.[2][3][4]
