Oberhousen is running in the 2011 election for Mississippi House of Representatives District 73. He defeated Kevin Lavine and Gay Polk in the primary on August 2, 2011.[1] He will face Republican James Ellington in the November 8 general election. [2]

Oberhausen and his wife, Anna Ward, reside in Hinds County, MS.
