Brad Sponholz (b. December 21, 1964) was a 2010 Republican candidate for District 7 of the Wisconsin State Assembly. The primary election was on September 14, 2010, and the general election was on November 2, 2010.

Sponholz was appointed by the Mayor of Greenfield to be an alternate on the Greenfield Planning Commission.


Sponholz earned his B.S. in Nursing from the University of Oshkosh in 1997. His professional experience includes working as a registered nurse. Sponholz served in the Wisconsin Army National Guard as a medic aboard a Blackhawk helicopter in Seoul, South Korea.[1][2]


Campaign themes


Sponholz's campaign slogan was "Start FRESH in Wisconsin:"

"F-- Fundamentals--constitutional, smaller, less intrusive government
R-- Revitalize and Re-invigorate business in Wisconsin-Get government out of the way
E-- Educate our youth—Think outside the box, home school, virtual schools, charter schools, choice and public schools

Sponholz was defeated by Democrat Peggy Krusick in the November 2 general election. He was unopposed in the primary election. [4][5]
