Brenda Lawrence was a 2012 Democratic candidate seeking election to the U.S. House representing the 14th Congressional District of Michigan. Previously, she was the 2010 Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Michigan.


She is currently the mayor of Southfield, MI. [1]

Lawrence ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Michigan's 14th District. She was defeated by incumbent Gary Peters in the August 7 Democratic primary.[2]
