Brent Barton is a Democratic member of the Oregon House of Representatives representing District 40 since 2013.

Barton was a Democratic member of the House, representing District 51 from 2009 to 2011.

Barton earned his JD from Harvard Law School and his MA from Stanford University. He also attended Cambridge University. He is an attorney for Perkins Coie, LLP.

Barton has worked as an aide to Congresswoman Darleen Hooley and a teacher of high school government and law courses.[1]

Barton won election in the 2012 election for Oregon House of Representatives District 40. Barton was unopposed in the May 15 Democratic primary and defeated Steve Newgard (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
