Hildabrand won election in the 2012 election for Kansas House of Representatives District 17. Hildabrand defeated Jason Leib in the August 7 Republican primary and defeated Michael Kerner (L) and Larry Meeker (D/I) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3][4]
