Brian Kolb is a Republican member of the New York State Assembly. He has represented District 129 since winning a special election in February 2000. Kolb currently serves as Minority Leader and is also a member of the school board for Honeoye Central School and Ontario County Board of Supervisors; and town supervision for the Town of Richmond.

Kolb is a notary public for the New York Department of State; a major in the New York Guard; a consultant for Stone Bridge Business Partners; and an adjunct professor for Roberts Wesleyan College. His other professional experiences include president of the refractions technologies corporation; vice president of operations and co-founder of North American Filter Corporation; marketing manager for Pollinger Corporation; and sales manager for Cansten Corporation.

Kolb earned an AA from Saint Petersburg Junior College and a BS and MS from Roberts Wesleyan College. He and his wife, Lauren, have three children; Britton, Clayton, and Kylie.[1]

Kolb ran unopposed in the September 14 Republican primary. He was unopposed in the general election on November 2.[3] In addition to his slot on the Republican Party ticket, he was also listed as a candidate of the Independence Party of New York State and the Conservative Party.

On November 4, 2008 Kolb won re-election to the New York State Assembly, District 129, defeating opponent Noah Sargent (D).
