Brian Krolicki (born December 31, 1960, in Warwick, Rhode Island) is the 33rd and current Republican Lieutenant Governor of Nevada. Krolicki was first elected to the position in 2006 and re-elected on November 2, 2010.[1]

As Lieutenant Governor, Krolicki also serves as President of the State Senate, Chairman of the Commission on Tourism, and Vice-Chairman of the State Board of Transportation. During his tenure, Krolicki has focused on economic development and tourism.[2]

Krolicki previously served two terms as Nevada State Treasurer from 1999-2007. One of his major goals during this time was to make college education more affordable. To this end he created the Nevada College Savings Plans and the Nevada Prepaid Tuition Program.[3]

Krolicki is term-limited from seeking re-election as Nevada Lieutenant Governor in 2014. As of August 2013, he had not announced any future plans.

Biography

Prior to assuming his first state executive seat as Treasurer of Nevada, Krolicki served as the chief deputy State Treasurer from 1990 to 1998. He previously worked for Bankers Trust Company and Smith Barney.[1]
