A Burns Township Ambulance Levy Renewal measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Burns, which is in Shiawassee County.

This measure sought to renew the current ambulance levy which is set at a rate of $45 per year for a further three years in order to continue to pay for ambulance service costs in the township. It was approved.

The question on the ballot:

Shall Burns Township be authorized to levy a Special Assessment on each household and business of $45.00 per year for the exclusive purpose of using the money received to provide Ambulance Service for the entire Township; and to levy such Special Assessment each year for three (3) years, for the period of 2012, 2013, and 2014 if this proposal is approved? The Township estimates it will collect $55,000 in the first calendar year.[1][2]
