The question on the ballot:
|Shall the Township of Burns, Shiawassee County, Michigan, be authorized to fund the purchase of required and necessary fire equipment and apparatus by the levy of one-half (1/2) ($0.50 on each $1,000.00 of taxable valuation of such property) on all property in the Township for a period of 3 years, 2012 through 2014 inclusive, (this being a Renewal of one-half (1/2) mill for the same purpose which expires with the 2012 tax levy?) The Township estimates it will collect $41,000 in the first calendar year if this proposal is approved.|
