Shall the Township of Burns, Shiawassee County, Michigan levy 1 mill ($1.00 on each $1,000.00 of taxable valuation of such property) on all property in the Township for a period of 3 years, 2012 through 2014 inclusive, to provide funds to operate a fire department (this being a renewal) of 1 mill for the same purpose which expires with the 2012 tax levy? The Township estimates it will collect $82,000 in the first calendar year if this proposal is approved.[1]
