C. Scott Bounds (b. February 12, 1962) is a Republican member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing District 44. He was first elected to the chamber in 2003.

Bounds was initially elected as a Democrat. On May 10, 2010, Bounds announced he would be switching his affiliation to the Republican Party. He noted his conservative beliefs for the change.[1]

Biography

Bounds' professional experience includes working as a Territorial Manager for Working Solutions, LLC; and store manager for Broland Building Supply, Triple V, and Bounds Home Furnishings, Incorporated.[2]

On November 8, 2011, Bounds won re-election to District 44 of the Mississippi House of Representatives. He ran unopposed in the August 2 primary and was unchallenged in the November 8 general election. [3]

On November 6, 2007 Bounds was re-elected in District 44, defeating Republican challenger Danny Ray Petty.[4][5]
