The 45th congressional district of California will hold an election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 4, 2014.

California has a top-two primary system, in which the top two vote-getters, regardless of party, go on to the general election.

Heading into the election the incumbent is John Campbell (R), who was first elected in 2004.

California's 45th Congressional District is located in the southern portion of the state and includes part of Orange County.[1]

On November 6, 2012, John Campbell (R) won re-election to the United States House. He defeated Sukhee Kang in the general election.

On November 2, 2010, Mary Bono Mack won re-election to the United States House. She defeated Steve Pougnet and Bill Lussenheide in the general election.[4]
