California Proposition 73 appeared on the November 8, 2005 special statewide ballot in California, where it failed. The measure was an initiated constitutional amendment.

3,610,475 (or 47.3%) voters were in favor and 4,023,840 (or 52.7%) were opposed.

The measure proposed a mandatory waiting period and parental notification before a minor could obtain an abortion.
