Campaign advertising restrictions

All electioneering communications and advertisements must clearly state who paid for the advertisement. The ad shall state in full (with no acronyms) who paid for the ad for an ad sponsored by a Political Action Committee. All ads paid for by other committees must clearly state if the ad was authorized or not authorized by the committee supporting or opposing the proposition. All ads by other committees that were approved by a committee follow the same disclaimer requirement other PAC's follow[21].

All electioneering communications that were not approved by any committee must disclose the full name, address, phone number, and website address of the committee paying for the ad[22].

Louisiana bans all committees from engaging in intentional misrepresentation in any campaign ad[23].
