Minnesota

By Geoff Pallay

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota: Sona Mehring (D) declared earlier this month that she will seek election to Minnesota's 2nd district.[1]

Kline won re-election in 2012 by about 10 percentage points over Mike Obermueller (D). Obermuller is expected to run for the seat as well in 2014.

This is Mehring's first foray into politics. She is founder of the company CaringBridge.[1]

Kline has been listed as one of 10 vulnerable incumbents by the Democratic House Majority PAC.
