Fisher stated: "I support the elimination of all wasteful spending; however, Education and Public Safety DO NOT fall in this category. Everyone agrees to the importance of a quality education for our children, yet no one wants to fund it. This must change. We must take the necessary steps to fund education. We must put politics aside and work together finding solutions to the problems facing our State."
Fisher ran in the 2012 election for Ohio House, District 40. Fisher was unopposed in the March 6 Democratic primary election and was defeated by District 36 incumbent Michael Henne (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.
