Carl Gatto (b. December 29, 1937) was a Republican member of the Alaska House of Representatives, representing the 13th District from 2003 until his death in office in on April 10, 2012.[1][2] Prior to his election to the House he served as Vice President of the Matanuska-Susitna School Board from 2000-2002.

Gatto worked as a senior captain and paramedic with the Anchorage Fire Department from 1974-2000. He also worked as a high school teacher, college teacher, and engineer.

He was a member of Alaska Right to Life, National Right to Life, Palmer Chamber of Commerce, and Wasilla Chamber of Commerce.[3]

Gatto won re-election to the 13th District seat in 2010. He defeated Don Benson in the August 24 primary.[6] He then ran unopposed in the November 2, 2010 general election.[7]

In 2008 Gatto was re-elected to the Alaska House of Representatives District 13. Gatto (R) finished with 7,285 votes while his opponent David Cheezem (D) finished with 3,067.[8] Gatto raised $11,624 for his campaign fund.[9]
