Carmen Arroyo (b. January 9, 1933) is a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly. She has represented District 84 since 1995. Arroyo's political experience also includes female district leader, 74th Assembly District; member and president of Community School Board #7; and member of Community School Board #18.

Arroyo is the author of "Mis Poesias".

Arroyo earned a secretarial-bookkeeper degree from Sixto Febus Business School in Puerto Rico; an AA from Eugenio Maria de Hostos Community College; and a BA in school of new resources from College of New Rochelle. She and her husband, Hector, have seven children.[1]

Arroyo ran unopposed in the September 14 Democratic primary. She defeated Roseline Nieves (R) in the general election on November 2.[2]
