A Caro Transit Authority Levy Increase measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the Caro transit area, which is in Tuscola County.

This measure sought to increase the current transit levy by a rate of $1 per $1,000 of assessed value for a period of four years in order to further pay for transit area services in the townships and city within the transit authority area.[1] It was approved.

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

Shall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be imposed on taxable property in the Caro Transit Authority, County of Tuscola, Michigan, be increased by One Dollar ($1.00) per thousand dollars ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) for a period of four (4) years, 2013 to 2016, inclusive, as a renewal of millage previously approved by the voters which expires with the 2012 levy, for the sole and exclusive purpose of continuing public bus transportation services within the Caro Transit Authority (Indianfields Township, Almer Charter Township and the City of Caro)?[2][3]
