Carolyn Laine is a Democratic-Farmer Labor member of the Minnesota House of Representatives. She has represented District 50A since 2007.

Laine earned her MA in Psychology from Saint Mary's University and BS in Education from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

She has worked as a teacher in Minneapolis Public Schools and as Financial Director of the Novalis Institute.

Laine is a member of the Interfaith Alliance, Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church, and the City of Columbia Heights City Charter Commission. She is married and has 5 children.[1]
