In Cathcart v. Meyer, a 2004 decision of the Wyoming Supreme Court, it was held that Wyoming's term limits law was unconstitutional according to the Wyoming Constitution.

The lawsuit was directed against Wyoming Term Limits Initiative (1992).

Section 3 of Article I and Section 2 of Article III were found to have been violated by the 1992 initiative.
