Mulholland won election in the 2012 election for New Hampshire House of Representatives, Grafton 17. Mulholland defeated Tom Ploszaj in the September 11 Democratic primary and defeated incumbent Paul Simard (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]

Mulholland advanced past the September 14 primary election. She faced incumbent Chuck Townsend (D), incumbent Suzanne Laliberte (D), Paul Mirski (R), Charles Sova (R),and Robert Hull (R) in the November 2 general election.

2008

On November 4, 2008, Mulholland won re-election by finishing third for the three-seat Grafton 10 District of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, receiving 2,464 votes behind Democrats Chuck Townsend (2,573) and Suzanne Laliberte (2,465) and ahead of Republicans Paul Mirski (2,310), Charles Sova (2,172), and Robert Hull (2,048) and "Others" (8).[4]
