Four Township Fire/Emergency Services Levy Renewal measures will be on the August 3, 2010 ballot in the townships of Centerville, Cleveland, Empire and Solon which are in Leelanau County.

The Centerville measure seeks to increase the fire and ambulance levy by $.50 for a further two years to help with buying new equipment for the district as well as continuing to pay for general operation costs.

The Cleveland measure seeks to increase and renew the fire district levy by $.50 for a further four years to help with paying for general operation costs of the district.

The Empire measure seeks to increase the emergency services levy to $5.00 for a further ten years to help with paying for the emergency services offered by the township.

The Solon measure seeks to increase the fire and ambulance levy by $.75 for a further two years to help with buying new equipment for the district as well as continuing to pay for general operation costs. [1]
