The question on the ballot:
|Shall Chapin Township impose an increase of up to 1.75 mills ($1.75 per $1,000.00 of taxable value) in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution and levy it for five years, 2012 through 2016 inclusive, for emergency fire and ambulance protection services, which 1.75 mills increase will raise an estimated $35,652.77 in the first year the millage is levied.|
