A Chapin Township Ambulance Levy Increase measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Chapin, which is in Saginaw County.

This measure sought to increase the current ambulance levy by a rate of $1.75 per $1,000 of assessed value for a period of five years in order to further pay for emergency and ambulance services in the township. It was approved.

The question on the ballot:

Shall Chapin Township impose an increase of up to 1.75 mills ($1.75 per $1,000.00 of taxable value) in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution and levy it for five years, 2012 through 2016 inclusive, for emergency fire and ambulance protection services, which 1.75 mills increase will raise an estimated $35,652.77 in the first year the millage is levied.[1][2]
