Charles Barbour was a 2011 Republican candidate for District 25 of the Mississippi State Senate.

Barbour retired from the Mississippi National Guard in 2007. He served two terms on the Hinds County Board of Supervisors, and earned a BA in criminal justice from the University of Mississippi.[1]

Barbour ran in the 2011 election for Mississippi Senate District 25. He and William Longwitz both defeated Sean Corcoran in the primary on August 2, 2011, but Barbour lost to Longitz in a runoff primary election on August 23, 2011. Cecilia Sampayo ran unopposed in the Democratic primary, and will face Longwitz in the general election on November 8, 2011. [2][3][4][5]
