Charles Brunner is a Democratic member of the Michigan House of Representatives, representing District 96 since January 1, 2011.

Brunner is a retired high school teacher and member of the Bay County Historical Society, board member of Friends of Bay City State Park and a founding member of Bay Future. Charles taught high school business for 30 years.

Brunner graduated from Delta College with an Associate's Degree in Business Administration and three more degrees from Michigan University: Bachelor's Degree in Business/Marketing Education and two Masters Degrees, in Business Education and and Secondary School administration.

Brunner won re-election in the 2012 election for Michigan House of Representatives District 96. He was unopposed in the August 7 Democratic primary and defeated Chad Dewey (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1]
