Colgan is running for re-election to the District 29 seat of the Virginia State Senate. He is unopposed in the August 23 primary and the November 8 general election.

2007

On Nov. 6, 2007, Colgan won re-election to the 29th District Seat in the Virginia State Senate, defeating opponent Robert Fitzsimmonds (R).[1]

Colgan raised $542,152 for his campaign while Fitzsimmonds raised $473,577.[2]
