Charles A. "Charlie" Gonzalez (b. May 5, 1945) is a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives from the state of Texas. Gonzalez represents the 20th congressional district of Texas and was first elected to the House in 1998.

Biography

After graduating from the University of Texas, Gonzalez went on to earn his J.D. from St. Mary's School of Law. Gonzalez taught 5th grade for one year before pursuing his legal career. Gonzalez's father represented Texas's 20th district from 1961 to 1998, when Gonzalez succeeded him.[1]
