Charles Lavine (b. August 14, 1947) is a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly. He has represented District 13 since 2005. Lavine's political experiences also include member of the Glen Cove City Council; committee member, chair, and vice chair of Glen Cove Democratic Committee; and a committee person for Nassau County Democratic Committee.

Lavine is a practitioner. His other professional experiences are as a lawyer in private practice; partner of Grossman, Lavine, and Rinaldo; public defender for the Legal Aid Society, in the City of New York; and instructor of Cardoza Law School's Intensive Trial Advocacy Program. He and his wife, Ronnie, have two children; Gregory and Andria.[1]
