Charles Newton (b. July 11, 1947) is a Democratic member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing the 90th district, Butler, Conecuh, and Crenshaw counties. He was first elected in 1988.

Newton is the Director of Greenville Bank, President of Newton Oil Company, and Director of the South Central Alabama Mental Health Board.

He is a member of the Alabama Historical Association, Cattlemen's Association, First Baptist Church of Greenville, Greenville Chamber of Commerce, and Greenville Rotary Club.[1]
