Charles Summers, Jr. (born 1959 in Danville, Illinois) is the current Republican Secretary of State for Maine. Elected to the office by a Republican majority that controlled both houses of the State Legislature in 2010, he is the first Republican named to the statewide public position in thirty-five years.
