Charles Vue is an at-large member of the Eau Claire Board of Education in Wisconsin. He won election without opposition in the general election on April 1, 2014.


Vue earned a bachelor's degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 1989. He later earned a master's degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1997. He has served as student services coordinator and associate director of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Office of Multicultural Affairs since 1998.[1]

Charles Vue and incumbent Trish Cummins sought election without opposition during the general election on April 1, 2014. He ran unopposed for the seat previously held by board president Carol Craig, who did not file for re-election.[2]

Vue did not report any campaign contributions or expenditures to the district office. State law allows candidates to claim exempt status from campaign finance reporting if contributions and expenditures do not exceed $1,000 during a calendar year.[3]


Vue did not receive any official endorsements for his campaign.

Eau Claire Area School District is located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, which is the county seat of Eau Claire County. According to the United States Census Bureau, Eau Claire is home to 66,966 residents.[4] Eau Claire Area School District is the eighth-largest school district in Wisconsin, serving 10,914 students during the 2010-2011 school year.[5]
