Charles W. Dent (b. May 24, 1960) is a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from the state of Pennsylvania. Dent represents Pennsylvania's 15th congressional district, and was first elected in 2004.

Dent is running in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Pennsylvania's 15th District. He ran unopposed in the April 24, 2012 Republican Primary and will face Rick Daugherty (D) in the November 6, 2012 general election.[3]

The Washington Post listed the House of Representatives elections in Pennsylvania in 2012 as one of the states that could determine whether Democrats retake the House or Republicans will hold its majority in 2013.[4] Ohio tied with Pennsylvania for 9th on the list.[4]


On November 2, 2010, Dent won re-election to the United States House of Representatives. He defeated John B. Callahan and Jake Towne in the general election.[5]
