Roberts is running in the 2012 election for New York State Assembly District 107. She defeated Keith A. Hammond in the Democratic primary on September 13, 2012. Roberts also defeated Brenda J. Mahar in the Working Families Party primary. Incumbent Steven F. McLaughlin ran unopposed in the Republican primary; he is also running on the Conservative Party and Independence Party of New York State tickets. The general election takes place on November 6, 2012. [1][2]
