A Chippewa Township Fire Levy Renewal measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Chippewa, which is in Mecosta County.

The question on the ballot:

Shall the Township of Chippewa, Mecosta County, Michigan, renew a levy of 1 mill ($1 per $1,000 of taxable value) for a period of 4 years from 2013-2016 inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds for the purchase of firefighting equipment and other capital and operating expenditures for provision of fire protection services?[3]
