Edes ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. Senate, representing New York. He was a Libertarian candidate and faced incumbent Kirsten Gillibrand (D), Wendy Long (R), Colia Clark (G), and John Mangelli (CSP) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[2] Gillibrand won.[1]
