Chris Johnson was a Democratic candidate in the February 14, 2012 special election for the Maine State Senate, District 20. The special election was called to fill the vacancy created when David Trahan (R) resigned in December 2011 to head the Sportman’s Alliance of Maine.[1]

Johnson defeated Rep. Dana Dow (R) in the special election on February 14, 2012. Johnson garnered 54% of the vote. The election of Johnson has been seen a significant upset.[2]
