Chris Perkins was a 2012 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 11th Congressional District of Virginia. He was defeated by Gerald Connolly on November 6, 2012.[1]

Perkins is a retired Army colonel[2] and small-business owner.[3]

Perkins ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Virginia's 11th District. He defeated Ken Vaughn in the June 12 Republican primary. He faced Gerald Connolly (D), Joe Galdo (G), Peter Marchetti (I), Chris DeCarlo (I), and Mark Gibson (I) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[5] He was defeated by Gerald Connolly on November 6, 2012.[6]

Perkins opposed a Vaughn budget plan as cutting too many public-sector workers and instead wants to limit government "at a system level."[2]
