Chris Trunkey was a candidate for an at-large seat on the Saugus Union School District Board of Trustees that was defeated in the general election on November 5, 2013.

Biography

Chris Trunkey is the chief financial officer of Phoenix Pictures. He earned a Bachelor's degree in finance from Drake University. Trunkey has also served on the Measure V citizens’ oversight committee for the William S. Hart Union High School District.[1]

Santa Clarita outperforms the rest of California when measured on the basis of median household income, percentage of residents living below the poverty level, percentage of residents over the age of 25 with a Bachelor's degree and percentage of residents over the age of 25 with a high school diploma. The median household income in Santa Clarita was $83,579 compared to $61,632 for the state of California. 31.7% of Santa Clarita residents aged 25 years and older attained a bachelor's degree compared to a 30.2 in California. The US Census also showed the poverty rate in Santa Clarita was 7.7% compared to 14.4% for the entire state.
