Abt is running in the 2012 election for New York State Assembly District 147. Abt's primary party of choice is the Independence Party. She has been endorsed by the Democratic Party and Working Families Party.[1] Abt defeated Daniel J. Humiston in the Independence Party primary on September 13, 2012 and is challenged by David J. DiPietro (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012. [2][3]
