Christine E. Canavan (b. January 25, 1950) is a Democratic member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the Tenth Plymouth district. She was first elected to the chamber in 1992.

Canavan has been a member of the Brockton Democratic City Committee and the Plymouth County Democratic Committee.

Biography

Canavan's professional experience includes working as Supervisor of International Health, Inc. from 1992 to 1995, Director of Nursing for National Medical Care, and a Registered Nurse with Shields Health Care and Brockton Hospital.[1]

Canavan won re-election in the 2012 election for Massachusetts House of Representatives Tenth Plymouth District. Canavan was unopposed in the September 6 Democratic primary and was unopposed in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2]

Canavan won election to the Tenth Plymouth Seat in 2010. She defeated Matthew Albanese in the September 14 Democratic primary. She defeated John Cruz (R) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[3]
