Christine Scanlan was a Democratic member of the Colorado House of Representatives, representing the 56th District from 2007 until her resignation on December 31, 2010.

On November 4, 2008, Scanlan won re-election to the 56th District seat in the Colorado House of Representatives, defeating opponent Ali Hasan (R).[4]
