Efstration won election in a special election for Georgia House of Representatives District 104. The seat was vacant following Rep. Donna Sheldon's (R) resignation to focus on her Congressional campaign. Efstration faced Teresa Cantrell (R), Tim Puckett (R) and Todd Tyson (R) in the special election, which took place on November 5. As no candidate received more than fifty percent of the vote, the top two vote-getters - Cantrell and Efstration - met in a runoff on December 3, which Efstration won.[4][5][6][7][8][9]
